One of our favourite things to do with visitors is to drive up the coast to San Blas and take the jungle tour to La Tovara, and then go on further to the wild life refuge and crocodile breeding center.You travel in motorized boats with knowledgeable guides who have a keen eye for spotting and identifying wildlife.
JJ in Mexico: Jungle Tour
Today I went on a wonderful trip with some people who are visiting Chacala. We drove in their rental car to Tovaro, just south of San Blas. It took less than two hours, and was a nice ride. We took a boat ride through a mangrove swamp. We visited a crocodile farm, and saw crocodiles and odd birds and lots of Crinum plants growing on the banks of the swamp.
